Our bodies make us who we are and therefore we put forth every effort to ensure that everyone who meets us knows who we are. Unfortunately, many people have problems cosmetically speaking that may not help us in our daily lives. Regardless of this fact, we still push on daily and make every attempt to conceal these irregularities.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, we still have to face the occasional stare. Many people know the stare that I speak of; we wonder if someone noticed the problem. The stare alone hurts our self-esteem dramatically. So many people still wonder if plastic surgery will help our self esteem.
The only real answer that you can have is actually quite simple. Are you thinking about plastic surgery as a means to make yourself more normal? Then if so, then the plastic surgery will definitely help with your self esteem.
If you are choosing plastic surgery because your friends have it and you are trying to be better than them, then chances are plastic surgery will increase your self esteem. Basically, no matter what reasons that you are choosing to have plastic surgery done, 99% of you will see that your self esteem will improve. The other 1% are those who's only self esteem issues are created by others who have decided that you need the plastic surgery to begin with. In which cases, the chances are that your self esteem not only wont get better, but rather it may get worse.
Plastic surgery for most of us is seen as a way to fix something that either we think is not right, or those around think so. By having plastic surgery performed to fix this abnormality, then you would be able to stand taller knowing that the abnormality is gone. It is like a weight being lifted off your shoulders. Sometime these weights can be sitting on your shoulders for years, so therefore, the longer that you have thought that something was not quite right, the better your esteem will improve.
